He was indulged in his favourite hobby, 18th century naval battle reconstruction, when he was struck down with a case of scurvy, he didn't recover from. Jack Arrin sadly passed away in February 2009, shortly after recording their first track in over a year, Coldplay. Many believe this was started due to the bands overtly clandestine nature and extreme secrecy about their recording but also the band's unusual name (A combination of their previous DJ aliases, ArrinCo and H-Lyd.) This is not the end of the story as it turns out because the band has had a recent renaissance of sorts as new fans hail the bands material as a "masterstroke in contemporary electronica". Helen's retired from the club life after leaving the band and is now believed to be living in Dublin once again. He currently resides and works in London, England. Unfortunately differences once again reared their ugly head and the band split indefinetely in the summer of 06, Jack Arrin although maintained ownership of the name and still records under it to this day as well as his own solo projects. After a 4 year hiatus(claimed to be due to minor creative differences) the band reunited and recorded their follow up to 2000's "Hold on to the." and it was on this record that the band launched themselves onto the Dublin DJ circuit.
